AB742,8,6 5(6) "Practice of dietetics and nutrition care services" includes each of the
6following but does not include the retail sale of food products or vitamins:
AB742,8,117 (a) Assessing the nutritional needs of an individual or group of individuals
8based upon biochemical, anthropometric, physical, and dietary data; determining
9the resources and constraints to meet the nutritional needs of that individual or
10group of individuals; and recommending proper nutrition intake to satisfy those
11needs.
AB742,8,1412 (b) Establishing priorities, goals, and objectives to meet the nutritional needs
13of the individual or group of individuals based on available resources and
14constraints.
AB742,8,1615 (c) Providing nutrition counseling to an individual or group of individuals
16regarding health and disease.
AB742,8,1817 (d) Evaluating, adjusting, and maintaining standards of quality in dietetics
18and nutrition care services.
AB742,8,1919 (e) Providing medical nutrition therapy.
AB742,8,21 20(7) "Registration commission" means the commission on dietetic registration
21of the American Dietetic Association or its successor.
