SJR81,1,43 Whereas, Sergeant Young was appointed Vernon County Veterans Service
4Officer on January 19, 1998; and
SJR81,1,65 Whereas, Sergeant Young served our country in the United States Army for
6over 24 years and retired with the rank of Sergeant First Class; and
SJR81,1,87 Whereas, Sergeant Young was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal and the
8Vietnam Cross of Gallantry; and
SJR81,1,119 Whereas, Sergeant Young's work is an invaluable asset to the people of Vernon
10County and has had a positive impact on the lives of countless veterans and their
11families; and
SJR81,1,1412 Whereas, Sergeant Young continues to serve his community through active
13participation in the Disabled American Veterans organization as well as the
14American Legion; now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That that the Wisconsin
2Legislature recognizes retired Sergeant First Class James P. Young for his
3outstanding years of service to our country and to his fellow veterans; and, be it

6Sergeant James P. Young.
