AR20,1,2 1Relating to: honoring the victims of recent international tragedies and condemning
2radical Islamic terrorist assailants.
AR20,1,43 Whereas, recent tragic events across the world have resulted in senseless
4bloodshed and loss of life; and
AR20,1,75 Whereas, on the evening of November 13, 2015, armed terrorists attacked
6crowds of individuals in a series of attacks on several restaurants, a sports arena, and
7a concert venue in Paris, France; and
AR20,1,108 Whereas, the Paris attacks led to the loss of 129 lives and an additional 415
9injured when assailants fired on crowds of individuals in restaurants and a concert
10venue in Paris, France, before detonating suicide explosions; and
AR20,1,1211 Whereas, on November 12, 2015, two suicide bombing attacks that took place
12in Beirut, Lebanon, claimed the lives of 42 people; and
AR20,1,1513 Whereas, on October 31, 2015, Metrojet Flight 9268, a flight carrying mostly
14Russian passengers, crashed in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, and killed 224 people;

1Whereas, on April 2, 2015, armed assailants opened fire on the campus of
2Garissa University College in Garissa, Kenya, killing 147 people and injuring at
3least 79 individuals; now, therefore, be it
AR20,2,9 4Resolved by the assembly, That the assembly of the state of Wisconsin hereby
5recognizes and honors those slain in the terrorist attacks on Paris and around the
6world, extends its deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victims,
7hopes for the full and swift recovery for those who have been wounded, and condemns
8those responsible for planning and carrying out this tragic and senseless act of
9violence.
