SB438,1,2 1An Act to create 115.28 (37) of the statutes; relating to: health care benefits
2plans for school districts.

This bill requires the state superintendent of public instruction to gather
information about health care benefits plans from each school district in this state
and to report that information to the governor and the legislature.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB438,1 3Section 1. 115.28 (37) of the statutes is created to read:
SB438,2,54 115.28 (37) Data collection and report on health care benefits. Collect from
5each school district a description of and detailed information about the cost of
6benefits provided to school district employees, as defined in s. 111.70 (1) (ne), under
7health care benefits plans offered by the school district. The state superintendent
8shall annually report his or her findings to the governor, the legislature under s.
913.172 (2), and the appropriate standing committees of the legislature under s.

113.172 (3). The state superintendent shall include in his or her report, for each school
2district, the total health care benefit cost incurred by the school district and the
3average of the health care benefit cost incurred, by the school district, per school
4district employee for all school district employees that receive health care benefits
5from the school district.
