The resolution requires the speaker of the assembly to immediately appoint a
special committee on clean energy, consisting of an equal number of majority and
minority party members, to devise ways to facilitate the development of clean energy
solutions, create jobs while reducing pollution, move Wisconsin away from fossil
fuel-based energy production, and prevent foreign nations from dominating the
clean energy field.
Under the resolution, the committee must deliver its findings to the speaker
and the assembly before February 1, 2014.
