AR15,1,1 1Relating to: proclaiming October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
AR15,1,32 Whereas, domestic violence is a persistent problem in Wisconsin and costs an
3incalculable amount in human suffering; and
AR15,1,64 Whereas, because of the inspiration, courage, and perseverance of victims of
5domestic violence, and of their children and advocates, legislation has been enacted
6to provide protection and services for victims and their children; and
AR15,1,87 Whereas the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence works to end
8domestic violence and to prevent future violence; and
AR15,1,129 Whereas, by observing Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the assembly
10seeks to increase awareness of violence in the home by focusing on the victims of
11domestic violence and their children who have suffered emotional and physical
12abuse; and
AR15,2,213 Whereas, the assembly commends the achievements of those working to end
14domestic violence throughout the state and nation, and the continuing efforts of this

1state to assist victims of domestic violence and to prevent future violence in our
2communities; now, therefore, be it
AR15,2,4 3Resolved by the assembly, That the assembly proclaims October as Domestic
4Violence Awareness Month.
