AJR105,1,32 Whereas, Darin Renner, fiscal analyst with the Legislative Fiscal Bureau,
3passed away on November 1, 2011, at the age of 40 in Madison, Wisconsin; and
AJR105,1,74 Whereas, Darin Renner was born in Friendship, Wisconsin, on September 22,
51971, to David and Dorothy Renner, spent his formative years in Adams County, and
6later moved to Green Bay and Madison, but always remained connected to his family
7and friends in Adams County; and
AJR105,1,118 Whereas, Darin Renner graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in
91990, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, summa cum laude, in 1994 with a
10Bachelor of Arts degree, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Robert M. La
11Follette School of Public Affairs in 2000 with a Master of Arts degree; and

13Council of UW Student Governments, teaching assistant and Speaker of the
14Assembly at UW-Green Bay, and project assistant at UW-Madison; and

1Whereas, Darin Renner was a skilled craftsman who worked in his family's
2business, Renner Construction, Inc., in Adams County, from 1996 to 1998; and
AJR105,2,73 Whereas, Darin Renner joined the staff of the Legislative Fiscal Bureau on July
424, 2000, and served on the Bureau's General Government and Justice Team where
5he was assigned the responsibilities of analyzing the programs and budgets of
6numerous state agencies including the Departments of Administration, Military
7Affairs, Regulation and Licensing, and Veterans Affairs; and
AJR105,2,118 Whereas, Darin Renner earned the respect of all members and staff of the
9Wisconsin Legislature, personnel of executive branch agencies, and all associated
10with state government who came to know him and recognize his work as consistently
11accurate, thorough, balanced, unbiased, and well written; and
AJR105,2,1512 Whereas, Darin Renner provided valuable assistance to the members of the
13Joint Committee on Finance during the Committee's deliberations on biennial
14budget bills, budget adjustment bills, and other legislation and matters before the
15Committee; and
AJR105,2,1816 Whereas, Darin Renner and Karin Britta Boeck met in Madison, married at the
17UW-Madison Memorial Union on September 30, 2007, and became the proud
18parents of Calvin Otto Boeck Renner on September 11, 2008; and
AJR105,2,2119 Whereas, Darin Renner was proud of his family, cherished the time that he
20spent with them, and was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew,
21and cousin; and
AJR105,2,2422 Whereas, Darin Renner was an avid reader, a talented woodworker, an
23accomplished cook and gardener, a competitive athlete and sports enthusiast, and
24an outdoorsman who shared his many talents with his family and friends; and

1Whereas, Darin Renner lived his life to the fullest, developed and maintained
2numerous friendships, had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, shared his
3resources and gifts, and conducted his life with the utmost degree of integrity,
4honesty, fairness, and compassion; and
AJR105,3,85 Whereas, Darin Renner's colleagues at the Legislative Fiscal Bureau, the
6members and staff of the Wisconsin Legislature, and his many friends want his son
7Calvin to know what a kind, generous, talented, and respected man his father was,
8who will be greatly missed, but always remembered; now, therefore, be it
AJR105,3,12 9Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
10Wisconsin Legislature honor Darin Renner for his service to the people of Wisconsin,
11express their sorrow over his passing, and extend their condolences to his family,
12friends, and colleagues; and, be it further
AJR105,3,15 13Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
14resolution to Darin Renner's wife Karin, son Calvin, father David, sister Debra
15Rouse, and sister Danna Peterson.
