SJR20,1,42 Whereas, the Wisconsin Early Learning Coalition, in conjunction with the
3National Association for the Education of Young Children, is celebrating the "Week
4of the Young Child" from April 19 through April 25, 2009; and
SJR20,1,75 Whereas, the 2009 Week of the Young Child theme is "Bring Communities
6Together for Children—Children Bring Communities Together" and is a time when
7communities unite to honor young children; and
SJR20,1,108 Whereas, Wisconsin communities want to ensure that all children have access
9to high-quality early learning experiences and nurturing care so they are happy,
10healthy, eager to learn, and prepared to succeed; and
SJR20,1,1311 Whereas, the Week of the Young Child has become a tradition that children,
12families, the early childhood workforce, and other community members look forward
13to each year; and
SJR20,1,1514 Whereas, thriving children and thriving communities go hand in hand; now,

1Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the legislature
2proclaims April 19 through April 25, 2009, as the "Week of the Young Child" in
3Wisconsin and encourages all citizens to make good investments in early childhood
4education.
