AB364,1,2 1An Act to renumber and amend 301.095 (11); and to create 301.095 (11) (b),
2(c), (d) and (e) of the statutes; relating to: Council on Offender Reentry.

Currently, the Council on Offender Reentry must report to the governor,
relevant state agencies, and the legislature about the progress of the council's work.
This bill requires the following to be part of the report: any impact the council's work
has had on recidivism, the effectiveness of agency coordination and communication,
the implementation of a reentry strategic plan, and recommendations on relevant
legislative initiatives and policy initiatives.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB364, s. 1 3Section 1. 301.095 (11) of the statutes, as created by 2009 Wisconsin Act 28,
4is renumbered 301.095 (11) (intro.) and amended to read:
AB364,1,85 301.095 (11) (intro.) Annually submit a report to the governor, any relevant
6state agencies, as identified by the council, and to the chief clerk of each house of the
7legislature for distribution to the legislature under s. 13.172 (2) that provides
8information on all of the following:

1(a) The progress of the council's work.
AB364, s. 2 2Section 2. 301.095 (11) (b), (c), (d) and (e) of the statutes are created to read:
AB364,2,33 301.095 (11) (b) Any impact the council's work has had on recidivism.
AB364,2,44 (c) The effectiveness of agency coordination and communication.
AB364,2,55 (d) The implementation of a reentry strategic plan.
AB364,2,76 (e) Recommendations on legislative initiatives and policy initiatives that are
7consistent with the duties of the council.
AB364, s. 3 8Section 3. Effective date.
AB364,2,109 (1) This act takes effect on January 4, 2010, or on the day after publication,
10whichever is later.
