SJR58,1,32 Whereas, industrial silica and bank sand has been mined in the Berlin,
3Wisconsin, area since the early 1900s; and
SJR58,1,64 Whereas, Badger Mining Corporation (BMC) was created in 1979 to supply a
5wide range of industrial silica sand and complimentary products and services to a
6wide range of industries; and
SJR58,1,87 Whereas, BMC Wisconsin production facilities consist of two sand-processing
8facilities and three subsidiary operations; and
SJR58,1,109 Whereas, BMC has become a quality leader in the industrial minerals industry
10with a team committed to excellence and a passion for satisfying its customers; and
SJR58,1,1211 Whereas, BMC is committed to environmental responsibility, safety, health,
12and integrity while providing a rewarding and enjoyable place to work; and
SJR58,2,213 Whereas, BMC gives back to its community by awarding scholarships to
14graduating students who plan to pursue a career in engineering or the environment,

1giving tours of its operation, and allowing associates to participate in the
