SB324,1,3 1An Act to amend 20.435 (5) (fh) and 250.15 (2) (a) of the statutes; relating to:
2grants to community health centers (suggested as remedial legislation by the

Under current law, the Department of Health and Family Services (DHFS)
awards grants to community health centers. This bill repeals a requirement that
DHFS award $100,000 annually to a nurse-managed community health center in a
first class city.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
Law Revision Committee prefatory note: This bill is a remedial legislation
proposal, requested by the Department of Health and Family Services and introduced by
the Law Revision Committee under s. 13.83 (1) (c) 4., stats. After careful consideration
of the various provisions of the bill, the Law Revision Committee has determined that this
bill makes minor substantive changes in the statutes, and that these changes are
desirable as a matter of public policy.
SB324, s. 1 4Section 1. 20.435 (5) (fh) of the statutes is amended to read:

120.435 (5) (fh) Community health services. The amounts in the schedule for
2grants under s. 250.15 and 2001 Wisconsin Act 16, section 9123 (14e).
SB324, s. 2 3Section 2. 250.15 (2) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB324,2,74 250.15 (2) (a) From the appropriation under s. 20.435 (5) (fh), the department
5shall award $50,000 in each fiscal year as a grant to a community health center in
6a 1st class city and shall award $100,000 as a grant to a nurse-managed community
7health center in a first class city
.
Note: This bill repeals the requirement to award $100,000 annually to a
nurse-managed community health center in a first class city. According to the
department of health and family services, the specific entities referenced in this bill have
closed so the references are obsolete.
