AJR66,1,42 Whereas, Norbert "Nubs" DeCleene, son of LaVerne and Harold DeCleene, and
3husband of Nancy DeCleene, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2007, after a year
4and one-half battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis; and
AJR66,1,65 Whereas, Nubs and Nancy DeCleene were married for 25 years and were
6blessed with 2 children, Somer and Chase; and
AJR66,1,87 Whereas, Nubs served his country in the United States Marine Corps with 2
8tours of duty in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968; and
AJR66,1,109 Whereas, Nubs was a proud and active member of the Vietnam Veterans of
10America Chapter 224 and the VFW Ashwaubenon Post 10244; and
AJR66,1,1311 Whereas, Nubs showed his commitment to his community through an active
12and devoted political career as Ashwaubenon village president, Ashwaubenon
13village trustee, and Brown County supervisor; and

1Whereas, Nubs initiated and organized the building of the Brown County
2Veterans Memorial Monument, one of his proudest accomplishments as an elected
3official; and
AJR66,2,54 Whereas, Nubs leaves behind a lasting legacy and commitment to public
5service, devotion to God and family, and love of country; now, therefore, be it
AJR66,2,9 6Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
7Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service that Norbert "Nubs"
8DeCleene contributed to this state and his community, express their sorrow at his
9passing, and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
AJR66,2,11 10Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
11resolution to Nubs's wife, Nancy, and his 2 children, Somer and Chase.
