SJR72,1,53 Whereas, Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael C. Anderson, at the age of 36, was
4killed on Sunday, May 2, 2004, in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq after mortar fire
5struck his camp; and
SJR72,1,86 Whereas, Michael C. Anderson served with distinction with the Naval Mobile
7Construction Battalion 14, otherwise known as the Seabees, based in Jacksonville,
8Florida; and
SJR72,1,109 Whereas, Michael C. Anderson graduated from Oshkosh North High School in
101986; and
SJR72,1,1211 Whereas, Michael C. Anderson was known by all as a generous man who would
12give up his free time to help anyone who needed it; and
SJR72,1,1513 Whereas, Michael C. Anderson made the ultimate sacrifice for his country
14while defending his country and advancing the cause of freedom for the Iraqi people;

1Whereas, Michael C. Anderson will always be remembered for his loyalty and
2duty and will never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
SJR72,2,6 3Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
4Wisconsin legislature commend the life and devoted service of Petty Officer 2nd
5Class Michael C. Anderson, express their sorrow at his death, and extend their
6condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
SJR72,2,8 7Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
8resolution to Michael Anderson's wife, Karen, daughter, Brandi, and mother, Sylvia.
