AJR58,1,32 Whereas, Paul J. Sturino, son of Dino and Christine, was born in Cumberland,
3Wisconsin, on September 14, 1982; and
AJR58,1,54 Whereas, Mr. Sturino attended and graduated from Rice Lake High School,
5where he excelled in wrestling and was a role model to his fellow classmates; and
AJR58,1,76 Whereas, Paul Sturino was an avid outdoorsman and a devoted member of the
7community; and
AJR58,1,98 Whereas, in 2001 Paul Sturino illustrated his devotion to the United States of
9America by enlisting in the United States Army; and
AJR58,1,1110 Whereas, Mr. Sturino excelled at advanced training in field artillery and at
11paratrooper training; and
AJR58,1,1312 Whereas, Mr. Sturino was deployed to Iraq in March of 2003 to combat
13terrorism and fight for the freedom of the Iraqi people; and
AJR58,1,1514 Whereas, Paul J. Sturino died in Iraq while serving the United States of
15America on September 22, 2003; and

1Whereas, Paul J. Sturino honorably represented the people of Rice Lake, the
2people of Wisconsin, and the people of the United States of America; and
AJR58,2,43 Whereas, in recognition of his service to this country, Paul J. Sturino was
4presented with the Bronze Star; and
AJR58,2,65 Whereas, it is with the utmost respect that Paul J. Sturino is remembered by
6this legislative body and the people of Wisconsin; now, therefore, be it
AJR58,2,9 7Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
8Wisconsin legislature honor Paul J. Sturino for his commitment to his country and
9are deeply saddened by the loss of his life; and, be it further
AJR58,2,11 10Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
11resolution to the family of Paul J. Sturino.
