SB83,1,2 1An Act to amend 115.01 (10) (a) 1. of the statutes; relating to: the number of
2days on which school districts must hold school each year.

Under current law, a school district is required to hold school for at least 180
days each school year, less any days on which school is closed because of inclement
weather and any days on which parent-teacher conferences are held, not to exceed
5 days in any school year.
This bill deletes the exception for inclement weather. Under the bill, a school
district must hold school for at least 180 days each school year, less any days on which
parent-teacher conferences are held, not to exceed 5 days in any school year.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB83, s. 1 3Section 1. 115.01 (10) (a) 1. of the statutes is amended to read:
