Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, a retailer may purchase liquor for resale only from a
manufacturer, rectifier (a liquor distiller, mixer or bottler) or wholesaler. Also, under
current law, a retailer may purchase beer for resale only from a wholesaler.
This bill removes these restrictions on a noncampus retailer's source of alcohol
beverages purchased for resale.
For further information see the state and local fiscal estimate, which will be
printed as an appendix to this bill.
