1995 - 1996 LEGISLATURE
March 15, 1995 - Introduced by Representatives Kreibich, Ward, Hanson, Ladwig,
Harsdorf, Grothman, Goetsch, Green, Vrakas
and Owens, cosponsored by
Senator Rude. Referred to Committee on Mandates.
AB205,1,2 1An Act to repeal 36.25 (3m) (e); and to amend 13.106 (3) (intro.) and 36.25 (27)
2of the statutes; relating to: various University of Wisconsin System reports.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1. Current law directs the University of Wisconsin-Madison medical school to
submit an annual report to the governor and the legislature that provides
information on the financial status of the family practice residency sites, the number
of family practice residents choosing to practice in medically underserved areas of
the state and the number of graduates entering family practice as a career. This bill
requires the report to be submitted biennially.
2. Current law requires the board of regents to establish one or more solid waste
experiment centers and to conduct research into alternatives to solid waste disposal.
Annually, the board must report to the legislature on its activities related to the
centers and to such research. This bill eliminates the requirement to report.
3. Current law directs the board of regents to establish an integrated
agriculture program and biennially to report to the joint committee on finance on the
progress of the program. This bill eliminates the requirement to report.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
