2009 Assembly Joint Resolution 45
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and military service of Sergeant Clint A. Sikorski.
Whereas, Sgt. Clint A. Sikorski was born on March 5, 1987, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of the late Robert Sikorski and Walline (Wadzinski) Sikorski and died on October 17, 2008, at Madigan Army Medical Center from injuries sustained while stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington; and
Whereas, Sgt. Clint Sikorski was a 2005 graduate of Wausau East High School and entered the United States Army in Milwaukee in 2005. On July 9, 2007, Sgt. Sikorski was united in marriage to Mandy Diestler in Wausau. He was previously posted in Korea but was stationed at Fort Lewis Base, Washington beginning in July of 2007, where he was a member of the 1st Battalion, 377th Field Artillery Regiment, 17th Fires Brigade; and
Whereas, Sgt. Sikorski's family is very proud of him and knows that he died doing what he wanted to do, serve the nation and fight for freedom; and
Whereas, Sgt. Sikorski embodied the United States Army core values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage and he will be sorely missed; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature of the state of Wisconsin commemorates the remarkable life of Sgt. Clint Sikorski and extends its deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues; and
Be it further resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint resolution to Sgt. Sikorski's mother, Walline Sikorski of Wausau, Wisconsin, his three siblings, Bobbi Jo Burk and Maureen Sikorski, both of Wausau, and Kenny Kroeplin, of Eau Claire, and his wife, Mandy Sikorski.
