ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Norman L. Myhra.
Whereas, Norman L. Myhra was born on February 17, 1925, in Amherst, Wisconsin and died on January 16, 2009, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin; and
Whereas, Mr. Myhra was educated in public schools in Portage County and attended high school and a general business course at Milwaukee Vocational School; and
Whereas, Mr. Myhra was a World War II veteran, serving valiantly and with great sacrifice in the Army Infantry from 1943 to 1945; and
Whereas, Mr. Myhra was first elected to the Wisconsin assembly in 1960, representing Portage County, serving in the 1961 through 1965 sessions; and
Whereas, during his tenure in the legislature, Mr. Myhra was chairperson of the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service that Norman L. Myhra contributed to this state and his community, express their sorrow at his death, and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint resolution to Mr. Myhra's wife, Margaret, of Stevens Point.
