2003 Assembly Joint Resolution 79
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and military service of U.S. Army Specialist Nichole M. Frye.
Whereas, U.S. Army Specialist Nichole M. Frye was born on April 10, 1984, in Oconto, Wisconsin, and died on Monday, February 16, 2004, in Ba'qubah, Iraq, while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
Whereas, Spc. Frye served with honor as a U.S. Army Civil Affairs soldier with the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion out of Green Bay until, upon deployment, she was transferred to the 415th Civil Affairs Battalion out of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and
Whereas, Spc. Frye graduated from Lena High School in 2002, where she participated in FFA, and she was an accomplished musician in the band for 8 years; and
Whereas, Spc. Frye made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of her country; and
Whereas, Spc. Frye will always be remembered for her bravery and courage and will never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the life and devoted service of U.S. Army Specialist Nichole M. Frye, express their sorrow at her death, and extend their condolences to her family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Spc. Frye's mother and father, Jayme and Lisa Frye of the Town of Little River; to her sister, Crystal Frye; to her brother, William Frye; and to her fiance, Jeremy Stumpf of Oconto.
