AB94-AA11,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB94-AA11,1,2 21. Page 5, line 17: after that line insert:
AB94-AA11,1,3 3" Section 6e. 119.23 (7) (h) of the statutes is created to read:
AB94-AA11,1,114 119.23 (7) (h) 1. Annually, by August 1, the state superintendent shall, with the
5assistance of the department of justice, ensure that each teacher and administrator
6employed by a participating private school is subject to the same criminal history and
7child abuse record search as is conducted with respect to a caregiver specified in s.
848.685 (1) (ag) 1. A participating private school may not employ a person as a teacher
9or administrator or contract with the person to serve as a teacher or administrator
10if the person would not be eligible or permitted to be employed, contracted with, or
11licensed for any of the reasons specified under s. 48.685.
AB94-AA11,2,212 2. Annually, by August 1, the state superintendent shall, with the assistance
13of the department of justice, ensure that each owner of a participating private school

1is subject to the same criminal history and child abuse record search as is conducted
2with respect to a caregiver specified in s. 48.685 (1) (ag) 1.
AB94-AA11, s. 6m 3Section 6m. 119.23 (10) (bm) of the statutes is created to read:
AB94-AA11,2,84 119.23 (10) (bm) The state superintendent may issue an order immediately
5terminating a private school's participation in the program under this section if he
6or she determines that the owner of the private school would not be eligible or
7permitted to be employed, contracted with, or licensed for any of the reasons specified
8under s. 48.685.
AB94-AA11, s. 6s 9Section 6s. 119.23 (10) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB94-AA11,2,1210 119.23 (10) (c) Whenever the state superintendent issues an order under par.
11(a), (am), or (b), or (bm), he or she shall immediately notify the parent or guardian
12of each pupil attending the private school under this section.".
