TO 2011 ASSEMBLY BILL 572

AB572-AA5,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB572-AA5,1,3 21. Page 1, line 7: after "Corporation" insert "and terms for members of the
3board of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.".
AB572-AA5,1,4 42. Page 4, line 13: after that line insert:
AB572-AA5,1,6 5" Section 4m. 238.02 (1) of the statutes, as created by 2011 Wisconsin Act 7,
6is amended to read:
AB572-AA5,2,77 238.02 (1) There is created an authority, which is a public body corporate and
8politic, to be known as the "Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation." The
9members of the board shall consist of the governor, who shall serve as chairperson
10of the board, and 6 members nominated by the governor, and with the advice and
11consent of the senate appointed, to serve at the pleasure of the governor 3-year
12terms
; 3 members appointed by the speaker of the assembly, consisting of one
13majority and one minority party representative to the assembly, appointed as are the

1members of standing committees in the assembly, and one person employed in the
2private sector, to serve at the speaker's pleasure appointed for a 3-year term; and 3
3members appointed by the senate majority leader, consisting of one majority and one
4minority party senator, appointed as are members of standing committees in the
5senate, and one person employed in the private sector, to serve at the majority
6leader's pleasure
appointed for a 3-year term. The secretary of administration and
7the secretary of revenue shall also serve on the board as nonvoting members.".

AB572-AA5,2,20 10(1) Initial terms of members of the Wisconsin Economic Development Board.
11Notwithstanding the length of terms of members of the Wisconsin Economic
12Development Corporation board under section 238.02 (1) of the statutes, as affected
13by this act, 2 of the initial members appointed by the governor shall be appointed for
14a term expiring on May 1, 2013, 2 of the initial members appointed by the governor
15shall be appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2014, 2 of the initial members
16appointed by the governor shall be appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2015, the
17initial private sector member appointed by the speaker of the assembly shall be
18appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2014, and the initial private sector member
19appointed by the majority leader of the senate shall be appointed for a term expiring
20on May 1, 2015.".
