6(1) The department of natural resources shall conduct a study evaluating the
7changes in the laws regulating bear hunting under this act including all of the
8following:

9(a) An evaluation of reports made to the department or to its employees, or
10about which the department or its employees are aware, concerning conflicts
11between bear hunters and landowners.

1(b) An evaluation of reports made to the department or to its employees, or
2about which the department or its employees are aware, concerning conflicts among
3licensed hunters.

4(c) Changes in the number of bear hunting licenses sold by the department
5attributable to the changes in the laws regulating bear hunting made by this act.

6(d) An evaluation of safety problems, if any, attributable to the changes in the
7laws regulating bear hunting under this act.

(e) Changes in hunting patterns, if any, attributable to the changes in the laws
9regulating bear hunting under this act.

10(2) The department shall report the results of its study to the standing
11committees of each house of the legislature with jurisdiction over natural resources
12matters no later than July 1, 2014.".
