AB23-AA3,1,124 281.17 (8e) A municipal water system that does not provide continuous
5disinfection of the water that it provides shall include a notice on each water bill that
6informs the customer that the municipal water system does not provide continuous
7disinfection of water and that water that is not disinfected may contain the following:
8viruses that may cause hand, foot, and mouth disease, conjunctivitis, meningitis,
9myocarditis, poliomyelitis, diabetes, and chronic fatigue syndrome, as well as other
10enteroviruses; rotaviruses; hepatitis A virus, which may cause gastroenteritis and
11hepatitis; norovirus, which may cause gastroenteritis; and adenoviruses, which may
12cause acute respiratory illness, pneumonia, and neurological diseases.".
