TO 2003 ASSEMBLY BILL 472

AB472-AA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB472-AA2,1,2 21. Page 1, line 5: delete "2.2" and substitute "1.85".

AB472-AA2,2,4 32. Page 1, line 7: after "budget." insert "A pupil attending a private school
4under this section whose family income increases may continue to attend a private
5school under this section if the pupil is a member of a family that has a total family
6income that does not exceed an amount equal to 2 times the poverty level determined
7in accordance with criteria established by the director of the federal office of
8management and budget. For purposes of admission to a private school under this
9section, siblings of pupils attending a private school under this section are subject
10to the higher income limit under this subdivision. A pupil attending a private school
11under this section whose total family income increases during a school year to more
12than 2 times the poverty level determined in accordance with criteria established by
13the director of the federal office of management and budget may complete the school

1year at the private school under this section. If a pupil attending a private school
2under this section ceases to attend a private school under this section, the lower
3income limit under this subdivision applies unless the pupil is a sibling of a pupil
4attending a private school under this section.".
