AB498-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB498-AA1,1,2 21. Page 1, line 2: delete "an audit report" and substitute "audit reports".
AB498-AA1,1,4 32. Page 1, line 3: delete "department of health and family services" and
4substitute "departments of health and family services and workforce development".
AB498-AA1,1,5 53. Page 2, line 13: after that line insert:
AB498-AA1,1,6 6" Section 2. 49.34 (4) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB498-AA1,2,37 49.34 (4) (c) Unless waived by the department, biennially, or annually if
8required under federal law,
provide the purchaser with a certified financial and
9compliance
audit report if the care and services purchased are equal to or exceed
10$25,000. The $50,000. A provider shall provide the purchaser with a certified audit
11report for purchased care and services of less than $50,000 if the purchaser so
12requests and if the purchaser has not previously contracted with the provider, the
13purchaser has evidence that the provider has previously experienced significant

1financial management problems or an audit is necessary for the department to claim
2federal moneys. An
audit under this paragraph shall follow standards that the
3department prescribes.".
