AB36-SSA1-SA7,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:
AB36-SSA1-SA7,1,4 21. Page 5, line 17: delete "$350,000 and" and substitute " $250,000 except as
3provided in par. (dm). The limits established under this paragraph and under par.

AB36-SSA1-SA7,1,5 52. Page 5, line 21: after that line insert:
AB36-SSA1-SA7,1,6 6" Section 9m. 893.55 (4) (dm) of the statutes is created to read:
AB36-SSA1-SA7,1,87 893.55 (4) (dm) The limit on total noneconomic damages under par. (d) shall
8be $500,000 if one of the following applies:
AB36-SSA1-SA7,1,119 1. The claimant, as a result of the occurrence under par. (b), is hemiplegic,
10paraplegic or quadriplegic and has total permanent functional loss of one or more
11limbs as a result of an injury to the brain or the spinal cord.
AB36-SSA1-SA7,1,1512 2. The claimant, as a result of the occurrence under par. (b), has permanently
13impaired cognitive capacity that renders the claimant incapable of making
14independent, responsible life decisions and incapable of performing at least one
15major life activity, as defined in s. 15.197 (4) (a) 1.

13. The claimant, as a result of the occurrence under par. (b), has a significant
2permanent impairment or loss of sight in one or both eyes.

6permanent impairment or loss of respiratory functions.
AB36-SSA1-SA7,2,87 6. The claimant, as a result of the occurrence under par. (b), has a significant
8permanent impairment or loss of urological or defecatory functions.
AB36-SSA1-SA7,2,109 7. The claimant, as a result of the occurrence under par. (b), has a significant
10permanent bodily disfigurement.".
