2023 WISCONSIN ACT 113
An Act to amend 27.01 (7) (d); and to create 27.01 (7) (cm) of the statutes; relating to: annual vehicle admission receipt validity period.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

Section 1
. 27.01 (7) (cm) of the statutes is created to read:
27.01 (7) (cm) Design of annual vehicle admission receipt. The annual vehicle admission receipt shall display the year in which it is issued and the name of each month of the year in a manner that allows the department to indicate the month in which it is issued as required under par. (d).

. 27.01 (7) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
27.01 (7) (d) Issuance of vehicle admission receipts. An annual vehicle admission receipt shall be issued by the department, shall indicate the month in which it is issued, and is valid for the calendar year for
until the final day of the 12th month following the month in which it is issued. An annual vehicle admission receipt may not be issued by the department for a motor bus. A daily vehicle admission receipt shall be issued by the department, shall state the date for which it is issued and is effective only for the date issued.

Effective date.
(1) This act takes effect on January 1, 2025.
