An Act to create 14.16 (12) of the statutes; relating to: designating the first weekend in March Aldo Leopold Weekend.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
137,1 Section 1. 14.16 (12) of the statutes is created to read:
14.16 (12) Aldo Leopold Weekend. The governor shall annually proclaim the first full weekend in March as Aldo Leopold Weekend to honor the author of A Sand County Almanac, an internationally respected scientist and conservationist who is widely considered the father of wildlife ecology.
