2003 WISCONSIN ACT
An Act to amend 25.29 (3m) (b); and to create 25.29 (3m) (c) of the statutes; relating to: administrative costs of the Department of Natural Resources concerning the management of fish and wildlife resources.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
AB4, s. 1 Section 1. 25.29 (3m) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
25.29 (3m) (b) For purposes of par. (a), administrative costs consist of the costs incurred in the administration of the department and its divisions and bureaus, in providing support services for the department, and in the issuance of licenses and other approvals by the department.
AB4, s. 2 Section 2. 25.29 (3m) (c) of the statutes is created to read:
25.29 (3m) (c) On September 1, 2003, and on September 1 of each odd-numbered year thereafter, the department shall submit a plan to the joint committee on finance specifying how the department will ensure that the total expenditures in each fiscal year of the current biennium from the fish and wildlife account of the conservation fund meet the requirements of par. (a). If the cochairpersons of the committee do not notify the department within 14 working days after the date of submittal of the plan that the committee has scheduled a meeting for the purpose of reviewing the plan, the department may implement the plan. If within 14 working days after the date of submittal of the plan, the cochairpersons of the committee notify the department that the committee has scheduled a meeting for the purpose of reviewing the plan, the department may implement the plan only as approved or modified by the committee.
AB4, s. 3 Section 3. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:
(1) The treatment of section 25.29 (3m) (b) of the statutes takes effect on July 1, 2003, or on the day after publication, whichever is later.
